Return policy
Design by Alexis does not generally accept returns or refunds because of the custom nature of the items offered. However, we are committed to satisfying every customer to the best of our abilities. If you have concerns about your order, please review the return policies below to find a solution that best fits you.
General Return Policy
Custom Orders: Due to the personalized nature of custom orders, these items generally cannot be returned or exchanged. Once a custom order is placed, we start the process of creating your one-of-a-kind artwork right away. However, if your custom item arrives damaged, incorrect, or differs significantly from the final proof or description, please contact us within 3 days to request a replacement.
Non-Custom Orders: Non-customized items generally cannot be returned. However, if your order arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact us within 3 days to request a replacement in exchange for the item received. Design by Alexis is not responsible for return shipping costs.
Damaged & Incorrect Items
An item is considered “damaged” if it arrives with visible physical damage that impacts the use or display of the item. This may include, but is not limited to:

Tears or rips, water damage, or significant discoloration on the art print or original artwork itself

Cracks, dents, or broken components on gift items

Any other physical alteration that affects the quality, display, or use of the item
An item is considered “incorrect” if it does not match the final proof or specifications provided at the time of purchase. This may include, but is not limited to:

Incorrect dimensions of an art print or original artwork

Incorrect colors or materials used compared to the order details

Misspelled or incorrect personalization on custom orders (e.g. name or font choice)

Wrong artwork shipped (e.g. you receive someone else’s order)
Note: Minor variations in color or texture are normal in handmade art pieces and do not qualify as "damaged" or "incorrect".
If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, please email us within 3 days of delivery with proof of the damaged or incorrect item(s) in their packaging to request a replacement. If a request (with adequate proof) is not received within 3 days, you may not be eligible for a replacement.
Final Sale Restrictions
Items with final sale restrictions generally cannot be returned unless eligible for a replacement under the general return policy.
The following is a list of items with final sale restrictions:

Items purchased during a holiday or seasonal sale

"Sale" items

Orders paid with using AfterPay, Affirm, or any other "Buy Now Pay Later" payment method
Cancellation Policy
Custom Orders: Custom orders can be canceled within 24 hours of placing the order. After this period, cancellations are no longer accepted and the general return policy will apply.
Non-Custom Orders: Non-custom orders can be canceled up to the time they are shipped. Once the order has shipped, the general return policy will apply.
